Job description
Our Customer’s mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. Through their family of apps and services, they are building a different kind of company that connects billions of people around the world, gives them ways to share what matters most to them, and helps bring people closer together.
We are seeking a Workforce Operations & Automation Analyst on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid in Sunnyvale, CA.
The Workforce Operations & Automation Analyst will support the Scaled Product Delivery (SPD) team across the Product Data Operations (PDO) Core and MSL portfolios to enable a complex global outsourced operation servicing our client's product partners. This role serves two critical functions: execute the recurring workforce planning, Anaplan and budget-adjacent operational work that keeps the portfolio running, and automate it — building, testing and deploying AI-driven solutions that remove the manual steps from those same processes in partnership with our client's SPD team.
Responsibilities
- Execute recurring workforce planning operations across the PDO portfolio, including processing staffing requests, maintaining Anaplan data, supporting supply planning communications, and managing related planning activities.
- Perform defined gate checks and exception reviews, consistently applying established guidelines and escalating complex cases to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Collaborate with program managers to resolve intake questions, maintain workflow efficiency, and ensure critical deadlines and SLAs are met.
- Validate data accuracy across Anaplan and tracking logs, identifying and reconciling discrepancies.
- Execute a prioritized automation roadmap by running, documenting, optimizing, and automating existing manual processes.
- Build, test, and deploy AI-driven automations and AI agents for established workflows, validating outputs before implementation.
- Monitor deployed automations for performance issues, failures, or workflow disruptions, troubleshooting and escalating issues as needed.
- Proactively identify opportunities to automate repetitive, manual, or inconsistent processes and recommend improvements.
- Document workflows, automation solutions, and process updates to ensure knowledge transfer, consistency, and audit readiness.
- Prepare and deliver regular status updates on automation initiatives, project progress, and roadmap execution to relevant stakeholders and team leadership.
- 5+ years of experience in workforce management, resource planning, vendor operations, workforce analytics, budget management, or a combination of these areas.
- Experience working with enterprise planning or workforce management systems, such as Anaplan or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated experience building and deploying AI-driven automations within a business operations environment.
- Ability to transform documented manual processes into functional automated workflows, including testing and validation before implementation.
- Experience with process documentation, continuous improvement, and workflow optimization, with strong attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage complex challenges, and develop effective solutions.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work independently and prioritize competing responsibilities.
- Experience managing vendor operations or outsourced workforce programs across multiple partners and locations.
- Familiarity with Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) commercial models, including hourly/FTE-based, unit-based, and output-based structures.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Tableau, or similar data analysis and visualization tools.
- Experience collaborating with global, cross-functional, and geographically distributed teams.
