Job description

The Mom Project is excited to support Etsy with their search for a contract Workplace Project Manager to join their team!
What’s the role?

The primary focus of the Workplace Project Manager is to optimize Workplace processes (construction, facilities, security, operations) through reviewing projects across teams and creating documentation to support development of existing and new initiatives. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, project management expertise, and strong interpersonal skills. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director, Workplace Services.

This role requires you to be immersed in the Workplace team and accessible to work in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office multiple days per week. Exact schedule can be flexible in accordance with business needs.

What’s this team like at Etsy?

  • We are a global group with a diverse set of backgrounds in building management, safety and security, design and space planning, operations, event planning and food sourcing.
  • We regularly work with Internal IT, Internal Comms, Strategy & Operations, Strategic Finance, DEI, HR Internal Systems, and Accounting.
  • We are adaptive individuals who take work from ideation to execution swiftly and with strong collaboration skills

What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Developing and maintaining project plans through effective collaboration across teams to support team strategies, and define goals and commitments to timelines and deliverables.
  • Analyzing the effectiveness of our Workplace processes and driving progress toward documentation to improve operations.
  • Developing materials that foster a strong understanding of programs and that enable partner teams and employees to easefully participate.
  • Maintaining organizational standards of Workplace documentation and processes
  • Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require! You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsy's discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

  • ~5 years of relevant work experience in project/program management (experience in Facilities or Construction project management a plus!)
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written required. Communication is confident, professional, polished and also warm.
  • Stakeholder management skills, especially with stakeholders composed of both technical and non-technical members.
  • Ability to prioritize and drive multiple concurrent projects to success.
  • Ability to maintain order in times of ambiguity and changing priorities.
  • Familiarity and comfort utilizing Google Suite, Slack, Zendesk and project management software (such as Monday.com).
