Job description

Our client seeks an experienced Territory Sales Manager to sell into the Mid-Atlantic market. This role is responsible for developing long-term business relationships with Key Architectural, Engineering, & Consulting (AEC) firms, including individual influencers & for creating demand for their products by establishing, managing & maintaining a specification project pipeline. They will work with sales teams & dealers to develop relationships through training, events & all related activities. Role Overview: This role is responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining business relationships in the luxury kitchen appliance and plumbing industry through retail partners, designers, builders, and individual influencers within Virginia, Carolinas, and Tennessee. This position would be responsible for creating demand by managing and maintaining sales pipelines, working closely with sales associates and dealers, and developing those relationships through strategizing, conducting training, hosting events, and all related activities. Role Responsibilities: Account Development -

  1. Conduct trade training and lunch-and-learns with potential, new, and existing trade partners.
  2. Ensure quality control of all display, POS, and merchandizing at partner locations
  3. Forecast, strategize, and communicate specific growth objectives with partners
  4. Hold live events based on product launches to generate activity
  5. Ensure the brand is displayed and presented through partner websites accurately and consistently, upholding company expectations
  6. Travel and make regular visits to dealers, designers, builders, and influencers
  7. Identify further saturation opportunities in geographic locations
  8. Develop and manage sales pipelines
  9. Conduct periodic business reviews with accounts to ensure focused growth potential

Relationships -

  1. Establish and maintain working relationships with all trade partners, including management, sales, designers, influencers, and specifiers, to ensure the products are included in all opportunities
  2. Periodic visits to identified and designated partners to build and maintain productive relationships
  3. Identify and contact new partners, dealers, or accounts to establish a business relationship,
  4. securing working showroom displays
  5. Conduct regular or periodic training and events based on a dealer contact strategy
  6. Pay regular visits to current and potential new dealers, maintaining productive relative
  7. relationships
  8. Where possible, have the products installed within key influencer locations to drive advocacy
  9. Report to the management teams on market trends, new competitive products, and any issues of
  10. significance

Products & Market -

  1. Meeting and exceeding sales and margin budgets for your region
  2. Maintain a high level of understanding of key industry trends and tools
  3. Keep abreast of products and technologies through in-house training, external courses, trade
  4. publications, etc.
  5. Participate and assist in trade shows and presentations
  6. Introduce new products through presentations at account locations
  7. Assist customers with correct product selection, design, and service specification while seeking
  8. opportunities to maximize the product specifications.
  9. Administration & Reporting –
  10. Manage and maintain trade customer call cycles and accurate data within Salesforce CRM
  11. Manage and maintain an accurate register of future, current, and past activities within Salesforce
  12. Contribute to weekly meetings updating the team on current activities,s including successes,
  13. challenges and opportunities
  14. Work closely with the General Sales Manager in strategizing and implementation

Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. 3 - 5 years experience in outside / B2B sales or similar roles, e.g., sales and/or specification sales into the residential market or to designers.
  2. Luxury appliance / plumbing-related industry beneficial
  3. Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Interior Design, Building Science or Construction
  4. Management major preferred
  5. Previous sales and/or account management skills
  6. Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  7. Exceptional time and process management skills;
  8. Proven ability in building stakeholder relationships;
  9. A quantifiable track record of sales achievements;
  10. Confidence and credibility in conducting formal presentations to stakeholders and colleagues
  11. Proficient in MS Office
  12. Travel required
